Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film most well-known for her roles in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the only children to Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into showbiz early and landed up performing lead roles in various shows on television by the time she turned 16. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film) was both critically and critically acclaimed commercially. The other Oscar nominated movies featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is well known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. Among others, these projects include the British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She was also in the jury panel of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
