Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actress who was born on January 31, 1974. She is best known for her role as Bo in the Showcase Television series Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. She is the daughter of Peter who is a professor, as well as Ilkay Silk, a prominent actor, director, producer, playwright and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers her very first memory when she was at rehearsals for play together with her mother. Silk was a part of numerous commercials for children. In 1997, she graduated with a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in at least two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved in Toronto in her quest to act and advance, then after that, she relocated to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an acting workshop held in Los Angeles, in 2007. The couple was married in a civil ceremony in December of 2009. After she had converted to Judaism and they renew their vows in the Jewish ceremony on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton. Silk got a baby named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th, 2013. Levi Aaron, her second child was born 13 May in 2016. Silk is famous for her television role in the role of Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009, she received nominations from her fellow actors for Gemini Awards. In 2009 she landed the lead role as Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television series Lost Girl. Silk fell pregnant during the filming of season three's finale and announced this to viewers in the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk announced on Twitter June 20th 2013 that the show was coming back in its production. Fourth season began on June 4th 2013 by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. Silk's portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers who are identical in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite TV Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) and declared Top Television Couple in 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. As a result of the popularity of the show, Silk has garnered a prominent internet following via social media.
