Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actor and TV host. She's best known as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. The actress was the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens she portrayed the lead character in various television dramas. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film) was both critically and commercially acclaimed. The other Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra's professional career has included participate in several significant national and international productions. These comprise British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as in addition to the French history mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
